for the longest time when I wasn't active on the internet I forgot all about skype and iI think it was taken off my system. Then recently when I put it back it remembered me. I was surpriiseed.
I think it does that for everybody. Not sure, though. BTW, before anyone adds me to Skype, please private quicknote me before you do so. Sorry if I didn't mention that before.
yes it does. I unsubscribeed from skype for a few years and after I reinstalled a newer version it remembered my user name. It goes by ip address i think
No no, it isn't dependent at IP address. Because I Have for example portable skype and IP addresses can be changed.
When you create account on skype, it's for ever i think (didn't read their terms of service). It's the same as at ICQ or something like that.

What is ICQ? Is it some messenging program or something like that? And what is portable Skype? How does that work?
From what I've heard, ICQ works similarly to skype, but have never used it. My skype name is in my profile, so add me if you'd like.
skype is mainly text messaging protocol. It has some voice abilities, but skype is better in it. In icq, you can create chatrooms and so on. Accessible is qip (with windoweyes mouse), icq6 (official client from mirabilis) isn't accessible at all.
Then, look for center icq, or centerim (it's for windows and linux) - it's console based client for icq and more networks.

I love skype, and have about 50 or so contacts. Just a little advice. Do not put yourself on skype me! You never know who can call you!

Skype me! is a mode for skype that will let ANYONE (that's in all caps), call u no matter if they know u or not. I never put myself their. I have about 15 or so contacts.
I've used skype me once and do not recomend it. You don't know what people could contact you.

I mostly use the skype out thing, Avoid using cell minutes during the day, and 10000 a month to the most advanced talkers is even quite a lot
I have skype to. i used to use skype me mode but I think that's how I have so many contacts that I don't want. But I don't know how to get them out exsept buy delating them 1 by 1. Does it work with the screen reader window-eyes? I have window-eyes and I cant text to anyone. It doesn't read the texts to me.
To the last poster I also have window eyes and no skypechat doesn't work with it. If you want to useskype chat you might want to try nvda. It works with skypechat very well.

Who cares about how many contacts one or another person has? Isn't the huge difference in whether you actually talk to those people? That's for everything, too, not just Skype. Bigger cars, better game systems, fancier houses, (for the guys, and I'm not being in any way sexual or suggestive), bigger dicks--it gets rather tiresome!!! Same shit, different compatition!!! Let it rest, for Christ's sake already!!!
